The District serves vended meals and does not cook and serve.

Applicants who already passed the CBEST will be waived from taking the HCSD Basic Academic Skills Exam.

Essential Duties Work closely with the site Principals, Assistant Principal, the Food Services and Business Specialist, and Volunteers to develop and implement smooth and compliant food services procedures, adhering to the audit guidelines of the State and Federal SBP and NSLP Serve meals in compliance with SBP, NSLP and food safety regulations Track inventory and proper storage of daily food program deliveries, which includes lifting boxes and crates Make sure the kitchen equipment and devices work properly at all times and report for repair or maintenance as needed Daily set up, distribution, and breakdown of meal service Attend trainings in accordance with CDE professional standards provided for the SBP and NSLP Assist the Food Services & Business Specialist in the training of site volunteers Maintain site records to meet local Health Department requirements and the State and Federal requirements for SBP and NSLP reimbursable meals Input and reconcile daily SBP and NSLP information into the Point of Sale (POS) student meal data system Record and maintain other required information, including but not limited to refrigeration log and periodic food temperature notations Calibrate student participation and meal preferences and place monthly bulk orders Perform other duties similar to the above in scope and function as required Knowledge and Abilities Manual dexterity sufficient to write, use the telephone, computer, calculator, and office machines at required speed and accuracy Obtain Food Safety Training Certificate within 30 days of hire Must maintain current First Aid certification Record keeping techniques Operation of computer and data entry skills Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, courtesy, and good judgment Work confidently with discretion Organize and prioritize time and material and work independently Work with children, while remaining flexible and patient, particularly when busy Learn procedures, functions, and limitations of assigned duties Communicate effectively both orally and in writing Maintain confidentiality Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Paraeducator General Description Under supervision of the school principal, perform a high level of duties to help support and assist students and classroom teacher(s).
Provides a variety of clerical support.

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of instructional materials.
