Meta is looking for a Product Design Manager with exceptional design, communication and people management skills to lead our teams working on social and entertainment experiences for augmented reality.
Product Design Manager, Augmented Reality & Wearables ResponsibilitiesHire, mentor and manage a medium-scale design team that consistently delivers on projects and is well-balanced across the different design skill sets.
Responsible for overall team performance and health, resource allocation, project prioritization, and building a culture of design excellence.
Lead and oversee the user experience of a product from conception to launch in partnership with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and content strategistsTake broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for people using our productsContribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teamsStay on top of industry trends and emerging technologiesMinimum Qualifications8
years of experience in Product DesignA portfolio that demonstrates relevant work, a proven understanding of best practices in product design and a track record of shipping high-quality products.

years of design management experience with direct reports under your guidance and leadership8
years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content and user research teamsExperience building and shipping applications or software across a variety of platformsExperience leading product direction and strategic thinking with the experience developing product goals, identify opportunities, and make decisions based on the impact to people and the companyExperience representing work to a broader product team and other leaders, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and conceptsExperience with delivering 0-1 products from concept stages to launchPreferred QualificationsExperience designing software applications for a new device or non-mobile product experience such as TV, auto, VR, smart home, etc.
