Ensures that meal service is set-up for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Occasional duties associated with food preparation is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES .
Responsible for reviewing all information posted on the board regarding campus wide events.
Must coordinate in advance with other co-workers to ensure each event, retreat, meal service, etc.
is organized and runs smoothly.
Responsible for the delivery, set-up, service and sanitation of all dining rooms and food service areas of the campus and special functions.
Breaks down service line after meals.
Monitors all service lines during meal service, and informs cooks if food items need replenishing.
Responsible for assisting with proper storage of food deliveries.
Delivers, set-up and breakdown for special functions and/or catering needs.
Performs sanitation assignments per sanitation guidelines.
Responsible for assisting Cooks with food preparation as instructed.
Operation of equipment associated with food service preparation and cleaning.
Communicate with coworkers, residents, and guests in a respectful and courteous manner.
Reports all accidents/incidents to supervisor on the shift in which they occur.
Closes and locks windows and doors at the end of the day and also responsible for turning off all equipment and lights before leaving.
Ensures that equipment, tools and supplies are washed, rinsed and sanitized and properly stored at all times.
Follows established fire safety policies and procedures.
Wears and/or uses safety equipment as required to perform the job.
Ensures that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
Follows proper techniques when using chemicals and sanitizing solutions used for cleaning.
Refers to established instructions or manufacturer's instructions when necessary.
Reports all hazardous conditions or equipment to supervisor.
Follows established hand-washing procedures.
MARIAN OAKS:
Prepare breakfast for Sisters.
Washes and sanitizes all dishware, tableware and serving utensils used at Marian Oaks.
Cleaning of pots and pans utilized in cooking of meals.
Maintains sanitation and monitors maintenance of the dish machine and dish room.
Maintain cleanliness of dining room after every meal by following the established procedures.
Set dining room tables for every meal.
Assists residents in the dining room with food trays and beverages during meals.
Empty and wash trashcans in kitchen and dining room.
Wash, rinse, and sanitize carts, shelves, cabinets, walls and countertops.
Set-up for special events as requested.
CONVENT AND MERCY CENTER:
Sets-up dish machine for operation prior to meal service.
Washes and sanitizes all dishware, tableware and serving utensils used for Mercy Center and the Convent.
Assures that utensils, etc.
, are readily available for next meal.
Collects soiled pots and pans from designated area in kitchen for cleaning.
Sweep and mop floors according to established procedures.
Empty and wash trash cans in kitchen and dining room.
Check dish room supplies and replenish as necessary.
Wash, rinse, and sanitize carts, shelves, cabinets, walls and countertops.
QUALIFICATIONS Education, Competencies and Experience To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following education, competencies, and
Experience:
Required:
One year related experience in food service operations and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have or obtain a valid Food Handler's Card.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule that will include some evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
Position requires sound communication skills and use of the English language in order to communicate with staff and Residents.
