Aviation Facilities Planning Director

We are seeking an Aviation Facilities Planning Director to be located in our Burlingame, California office. This position reports directly to the Managing Director and works closely with other Directors and Project Managers, as well as all support staff. Candidates must have extensive experience in aviation facilities planning and have developed marketing experience and an aviation clientele for such services. Their background must include airport master planning, terminal facilities planning, landside planning and support facilities, airside and airspace planning and support facilities, and airport land use planning.
For success, this individual must take the actions necessary for a successful business and be responsible for managing and developing clients and assignments for our company. They will be responsible for developing and executing high value consulting services to our aviation clients. They must display superior leadership abilities in relation to company development, client management, and staff development. It is expected that a successful candidate will be an active industry participant with established industry recognition and have the ability to sustain effective, long-term relations with our significant clients. This individual must be capable of working effectively to collaborate across geographies, leverage a wide variety of technical skills, while holding important values sacred, and inspiring all around to raise the bar of excellence.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Developing and successfully implementing plans for a successful aviation planning client portfolio in the United States, and potentially abroad.
Directing project teams as a Project Director, Project Manager and/or Strategic Advisor.
Directing marketing teams in the preparation of proposals and similar activities.
Participating in external organizations so as to raise the profile of our organization.
Serving as Strategic Advisor, Project Director and/or Project Manager for client engagements.
Supporting the development, training, and mentoring of junior consulting staff.
Maintaining availability to travel when required.
Participating in LeighFisher business development matters and other multiple disciplines.
Focusing on the goal of supporting LeighFisher's growth in size and geographically.
Representing LeighFisher at various conferences and events relating to aviation/airport consulting such as AAAE, ACI-NA and FAA.
The successful candidate for this position should meet the following requirements:
A minimum of twenty-five years consulting experience, or related aviation experience
MA degree relevant to aviation planning and consulting
Executive Leadership training a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
